The Tatweer Educational Transportation Services Company (TTC) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited the UK in January 2016. Their objective was to meet with organisations involved in the provision and delivery of UK educational transportation and learn from their experience and practices. The delegation of 8 from the Kingdom was led by Mr Ahmed Al-Faddagi, Business Development Manager.
During an intensive 2-day programme they met with representatives from Arriva, Transport for London (TfL), the Association of Transport Co-Ordinating Officers (ATCO), First Group and Nottingham City Council. They also presented at a seminar held in London where they had opportunity to network with relevant UK Suppliers. The picture shows Mr Ahmed Al-Faddagi presenting Mr Andy Gibbons with a thank you gift during the visit.
TTC undertakes the role of Contract Management and oversight, recommending policy to Ministry of Education. TTC is the leading educational transportation company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with offices in seven regions across the Kingdom, including its head office in Riyadh. They provide the interface between the Ministries and the operators of the transport services. Currently they operate over 27,000 vehicles and carry in excess of 1.2m students per day. The level of ridership is expected to double in the future and TTC is looking for UK partners to help them improve upon their current services and to meet the requirements for demand growth in the future.
